National Training and rehabilitation center for the PWDs:

In 1978 a center in Tongi was started in order to make visually impaired persons capable of self-sustained lives through vocational training for adult visually impaired persons. This institution is blessed with residential facilities having 50 seats. Till date the number of rehabilitated persons is 713.

 

Vocational training, employment and rehabilitation centers for Physical disabilities:

In 1978 a center in Tongi was started in order to make visually impaired persons capable of self-sustained lives through vocational training for adult visually impaired persons. The total seat capacity is 85 and no. of beneficiaries is 1792.

 

Rehabilitation Center for the Person with Disabilities

A sub-center named Rural Rehabilitation Center for the Person with Disabilities is on operation at Fakirhat in Bagerhat district. The number of seat is 30 here. The total number of rehabilitated persons of these two centers is 339.
